Returns, Exchanges & Price Match
Short version: if we got it wrong, we fix it fast and it costs you nothing. If you changed your mind, there is a fee — and we would rather you read it here than find out later.
Damaged or defective on arrival
We swap it within 24 hours, at no cost to you, as long as the replacement is in stock. Tell the delivery crew at the door if you can — they can often start the swap before they leave. Otherwise call the showroom the same day.
Changed your mind
If a piece does not fit the room, or you simply want something else, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we will exchange it for store credit, less a restocking fee taken out of the credit.
There are only two questions, and you can check both yourself:
| The piece is… | Restocking fee |
|---|---|
| Still sealed in its factory packaging | None |
| Out of the box | 20% |
If it never came out of the box we can still sell it as new, so there is nothing to charge you for. Once it is opened we cannot, and that is what the fee covers.
Getting it back to us is priced separately. Bring it to either showroom and there is no charge. If you need us to collect it, that is quoted by the same availability engine that quoted your delivery — a pickup is the same truck over the same distance, so it is the same maths. And if you are exchanging it for something else, we bring the new piece and take the old one on the same trip, so there is no collection charge at all.
Why there is a fee at all. It is the part that is invisible from your side, so here it is plainly.
A delivery is a truck and two people for a chunk of a day — and a slot another family could have had. A collection is that again, in reverse. But the larger cost is the piece itself: once it has left our warehouse it is out of the box permanently. It goes back on a warehouse floor where it can be scuffed or soiled before it sells again, and we can never tell the next customer it came straight from the factory — because it did not. On a sectional that is a serious loss, however careful you were with it.
The fee covers part of that, not all of it — and it is why a sealed box costs you nothing while an opened one does not.
Furniture is unforgiving this way. A piece that has lived in a home usually cannot go back on the floor at full price — we have had a sofa returned after twelve hours carrying enough smoke and pet odour that we could not resell it at all. We would rather show you the real numbers than advertise a 30-day no-questions window we would have to argue our way out of.
The piece has to come back exactly as it was delivered. That means no marks, stains or spills, no smoke or pet odour, and no wear. It is not only about breakage — a glass of red wine on a sofa makes it unsellable just as surely as a cracked frame does, and neither is eligible for exchange.
That is a different thing from a piece that arrived damaged or defective — that is on us, it is a free swap, and it is covered above.
Not eligible: Custom orders, Floor models, Clearance. Custom orders are built to your specification and cannot be resold, and floor models and clearance pieces are already discounted to move.
Price match
Find the same item advertised for less by any competitor within 50 miles, within 30 days of your purchase, and we will match it.
It has to be a quote for the same service, not just the same sticker. Our price includes white-glove in-home delivery and assembly; a cheaper price that leaves the box on your driveway is not the same offer, and we will show you the difference rather than argue about it.
Not eligible: Clearance, Floor models, As-is.
When something is not returnable
Some things genuinely cannot come back — a piece damaged after we delivered it, an item you asked us to force through a doorway we advised against, a custom order built to your specification. We would rather tell you that plainly than pretend otherwise.
But not returnable does not have to mean nothing we can do. In most of those cases we can take it into our clearance floor and credit you what it sells for, and put that toward something that does work. You will not get the full price back, because the piece is not worth the full price any more — but you are not left with something you cannot use and nothing to show for it.
Ask. This is written here rather than kept in reserve because it is our standing position, not something you should have to argue for.
If it will not fit
Our crews measure before they force anything. If a piece will not go through a doorway or stairwell, they will tell you, and the safest outcome is usually to swap it for something that fits — we would much rather do that than damage your home.
If you would like us to attempt it anyway, we will ask you to sign a short waiver first. It says two things, and the second one matters: we are not liable for damage to your home or to the product, and a piece damaged in the attempt cannot be returned or refunded— it is no longer sellable, so it stays yours at full price. The crew will read that to you before you sign it.
What our delivery crews do
In-stock pieces are delivered within 2 business days of purchase. White-glove service is included — we bring it inside, place it in the room you want, assemble it and take the packaging away. We never charge separately for assembly.
- Haul-away of your old furniture is available and charged separately.
- Our crews move what we sold you. They are not able to relocate furniture that did not come from us — including carrying an existing piece downstairs or out to the curb.
- If a crew judges that a delivery risks damaging the piece or your home — a tight stairwell, a narrow doorway, a finished wall — we will ask you to sign a damage waiver before we attempt it. We would rather stop and talk it through than force something through a doorway.
- Please have the space clear and ready before we arrive.
